Job Title:Hardware and Datacenter AdministratorReports to:Senior IT Operations Manager

Job Purpose Statement
General Description: The Hardware and Datacenter Administrator is responsible for analyzing and determining the appropriate layout for all IT equipment at DUTERIMBERE-IMF PLC. They are responsible for resolving hardware issues and maintaining DUTERIMBERE-IMF PLC's network devices.
Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)
  • Periodically maintain network cabling and hardware equipment in the main data center, and diagnose any anomalies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of computers, the UPS system, cooling systems, generators, and provide periodic reports to the supervisor.
  • Perform hardware upgrades as needed.
  • Assist in all new hardware implementations impacting the infrastructure and report all incidents affecting normal IT infrastructure operations.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders to understand their current and future business needs and manage partners in accordance with SLA requirements
  • Prendre possession et assure une réponse et de résolution des problèmes des usagers en temps opportun
  • Taking possession and ensuring a timely response and resolution of user problems
  • Staying up-to-date with all relevant consumer protection laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure all interactions and transactions comply with legal requirements
  • Produce periodic reports
  • To perform any other similar tasks assigned to him by his superiors
Ideal Job competencies

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (A0) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional certification in IT infrastructure or networking is an added advantage (e.g. CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or ITIL Foundation)

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience specifically in IT infrastructure, hardware administration, or datacenter operations
  • Prior experience in a financial institution or regulated environment is an advantage

            C. Technical Competencies

  • Proficient in server hardware, datacenter infrastructure (UPS, cooling, generators), and network device management
  • Familiar with IT asset/incident management tools, IT security principles, and SLA reporting
  • Knowledgeable in banking/financial services IT systems

            D. Behavioural Competencies

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities
  • Proactive with strong communication skills; able to translate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Integrity and commitment to confidentiality
